Electrical, heating and drinking-water installations are services provided by authorised specialist contractors. Bathroom renovation is agreed by trade and responsibility.
Tiling with specialist partners.
Suitable specialist partners carry out wall and floor tiling, substrate preparation and wet-area waterproofing. We agree the complementary fit-out work with you.
- Wall & floor tiles
- Define formats, laying patterns, joint appearance and connection details before installation.
- Substrate & waterproofing
- Explicitly include necessary preparation and wet-area waterproofing in the partner scope.
- Edges & transitions
- Coordinate profiles, niches, door connections and adjacent floor coverings.
- Our own connection joints
- Elastic connection joints as a separately agreed service we perform ourselves.
A bathroom starts with how it is used.
Care, movement space and connections count as much as the tile appearance. A flush shower must be technically compatible with the existing construction.
- Shower & floor construction
- Have the responsible specialist partners check falls, drainage and build-up height before design.
- Reducing barriers
- Plan thresholds, circulation space and usability concretely. A modern bathroom is not automatically accessible.
- Installations
- Plumbing, electrical and heating work exclusively by the appropriate specialist contractors.
- Agreed equipment
- Choose tiles, taps and built-in components to match the agreed budget and scope.

- Have bathroom dimensions and photographs of connections ready.
- Describe desired equipment and any particular access needs.
- Agree usability during work and the sequence of trades.
- Record the scope, materials and responsibilities in the quotation.
Check funding options
A bathroom for today and tomorrow.
KfW loan 159 may be suitable for technically eligible bathroom alterations that reduce barriers. Replacing tiles alone is not enough. Grant 455-B is currently closed to new applications. Clarify financing and required dimensions before commissioning.

Is plumbing included?
Only if explicitly agreed as partner work. Tile installation and plumbing are different trades.
Is a new silicone joint waterproofing?
A visible elastic connection joint does not replace the required waterproofing beneath tiled surfaces. The construction must be assessed separately.
